Yacht Surveying credentials and experience

Over the last 7 years I have completed over 1500 marine surveys as a professional surveyor. I am accredited by both the International Institute of Marine Surveyors and the Yacht Designers & Surveyors Association. In this period I have built a portfolio of international customers on the foundation of a 3 year apprenticeship with Jim Pritchard Associates in Southampton. Much of my work is repeat business from existing clients; illustrating the success of my commitment to provide a quality and informative service at a competitive price.

I am able to draw on more than 20 years experience of boatbuilding, repairs and restoration projects. This experience has been gained using modern and traditional materials such as steel, timber, GRP, composites and ferro cement.

Local trade knowledge

Living in Falmouth, Cornwall, and having grown up in the area, I have many professional contacts that can be useful, should speciallist work become necessary.

Qualifications

Through training and assessment I have gained associate membership of both the International Institute of Marine Surveying and the Yacht Brokers, Designers and Surveyors Association. I have experience of coastal and offshore sailing, having owned and delivered various vessels worldwide. I also hold a full and valid RYA Yachtmaster certificate.
